During my last year in Australia I’ve spent a lot of my time in Adelaide. While I didn’t find Adelaide city very exciting as a tourist, it did have its cool, quirky side. I loved the festival season, when there was always something going on. I also learned that Adelaide has many hidden secrets, of which I’ve probably only discovered a few. Go outside of the main streets and you’ll find cozy bars with live music and street art in places where you don’t expect it.
Things constantly keep changing and one day when I walked through Rundle Mall, I saw an empty shop. Well… the shop had gone and someone had left a bright, fluorescend work of art. This room, which would have been incredibly boring without a shop in it, was transformed to a sort of Alice in Wonderland meets Care Bears scene. It immediately caught my eye and I couldn’t resist taking a photo. When I saw my reflection in the window, I decided to make it a self portrait.
