Chiang Mai is known for its many, many temples. If I hadn’t spent a lot of my time visiting temples all over Thailand and Myanmar yet, I would have loved to walk around and gaze at the shimmering golden Buddha statues, the pagodas and temple life in general. However, I have seen it. I quickly did two of the city’s main temples, but noticed that it didn’t interest me like it did before. It was time for something different and I found it in a museum.
Unlike most museums here, Art in Paradise is a very interactive one. I don’t know what I was thinking buying a ticket and visiting by myself, because you need a buddy here. There are basically two floors with all kinds of art work that you can interact with, or more specifically take photos with. For some it’s obvious what you are meant to do, for others you have to be a bit more creative. But they’re all fun! I guess the best way to explain this place, is just to show some examples.
