Most people think of the East Coast when they think about travelling in Australia. This is especially true for backpackers. However, the West Coast has got so much to offer; the beaches are pristine, the water is blue and it is way less crowded.

Cape range national park has got a lot to offer. Especially after the busy tourist season you can find many empty beaches with perfect water that you have all to yourself. I love these photos, taken just before the sun went down. It gives them a warm look and makes the beach even more inviting.

Pebble Beach near Exmouth is 4WD accessible. The water is shallow and perfect for a refreshing dip.
